Ordering Information

  • Lead Times (as of April 30, 2008)

    Notes:

Lead times are estimates only, and may vary based on material availability and production scheduling.

With the exception of Schroeder Tonearms, all orders (and lead times) are based upon receipt of deposit. See below about deposits for Schroeder tonearms.

    • Galibier Turntables:

Serac: 6-10 weeks (yes! it's ready)!

Gavia: 10-18 weeks (add 3 weeks for custom finishes - anodizing, etc.)

      Stelvio: 13-21 weeks

Galibier turntables are built and "run-in" one turntable at a time in order to maintain our focus on quality.

Contact us when you're ready to order and we will discuss the schedule with you.

At the time your 50% deposit is received, your Galibier will be scheduled for production.

Please realize that delays in receipt may result in another build being scheduled ahead of your turntable.

We reserve the right to adjust the schedule if your deposit is not received in a timely manner.

Also realize that these are good faith estimates, and that occasional supplier delays may delay the production date. While we strive to be timely, our number 1 focus is on delivering a world-class product to you.

    • Triplanar Tonearms: 5-7 weeks
    • Schroeder Tonearms: 26 months
    • Quicksilver electronics: 1-3 weeks (depending on product)
    • Discovery cables: 1-2 weeks
    • Artemis Labs Electronics: 1-3 weeks (depending on product)
    • Dynavector Cartridges: typically 1 week, but occasionally longer due to availability
    • Artisan Audio Tonearms: In stock and ready to ship

As you ponder these times, consider the fact that Richard Sach's bicycle frame orders currently have a backlog of 40 months, and Walker custom guitars currently stand at 7 years.

Equipment you keep forever is worth waiting for.

  • Deposits (except Schroeder Tonearms)

We request a 50% deposit to verify your order (balance due prior to shipping).

  • Deposits - Schroeder Tonearms

Schroeder orders are considered to be placed when a written communication (e-mail or regular mail) is received and subsequently acknowledged with an invoice from Galibier.

First payment (a non-refundable deposit) along with final specification of tonearm varies by model and balance is due before delivery:

    • Model-2: 50% due 4 weeks before tonearm's scheduled completion with balance due prior to shipping.

    • DPS, Reference, and Reference SQ: 50% due 8 weeks before tonearm's scheduled completion with balance due prior to shipping.

  • Payment methods (U.S. Funds):

    1. Personal check from a U.S. bank (with time to clear)
    2. Cashier's or certified check
    3. U.S. Postal Money Order
    4. International Money Order or Bank Check - payable in U.S. funds
    5. Paypal

  • International Orders and Customs:

We currently sell and support our products in North America (including Puerto Rico) and Western Europe.

We reserve the right to change this policy without notice and will update this page when changes are made.

Common carriers have made it very clear that your commercial (pro-forma) invoice must state the full price paid, and that the insured value must be consistent with this amount.

Galibier will not misrepresent your turntable's value for customs purposes. Please do not ask us to do this.

  • About Shipping:

Your turntable receives a fully engineered packaging solution. It will be either professionally crated or encased in custom "clam shell" foam and shipped by either air freight or Federal Express to your door.

We leave nothing to chance at Galibier.

Shipping Charges (subject to revision without notice) for complete turntables:

        Continental USA:
    $250
        Canada:
    $350
        Puerto Rico, and Western Europe:
    $500

    Notes:

Shipments outside the Continental United States are estimates - in part due to the volatility of fuel surcharges. We will update these figures as we have more current information.

Depending on the country we are shipping to (export turntables) and the shipper employed, different arrangements may be made to collect customs duties. We will work through these details at the time of order.

Tonearms are shipped separately, and an extra shipping charge applies to international orders. A recent Triplanar Tonearm shipped to the U.K. via Federal Express (Express Saver rates) was charged $135.00.

Almost Ready for Pickup

Crated and almost ready for its international journey

Shipments to Canada and the Continental U.S. are shipped in 4 cartons via Federal Express, with the platter and base being safely encased in die-cut, polyurethane foam.

Shipments outside the U.S. and Canada are crated in a 22" x 25" x 35" crate (shown above) - weighing approximately 225 pounds (depending on model). This has allowed us to use the most cost effective means of delivering your Galibier in a safe, reliable fashion.
